What do you think of people that work at mcdonalds?

i work part time at mcdonalds and it really F**KS me off that everyone thinks im stupid.

im in college and need some extra cash whats wrong with mcdonalds!!

anyone with a job should be respected.  there is nothing wrong with working for a living, there is nothing wrong with working for what you have and need, and there is nothing wrong with sucking up something that you dont really want to do and doing it.

people who have negative things to say should stop judging.

dont let all of these a holes think that they are better than you.  it is people like you who keep this economy going.

It is an honest living, so it can only be a good thing, I worked in a chicken factory when I was a teenager, and it was known as a bit of a joke of a place to work because of the nature of the work and everyone thought all the people there were stupid, but it was the easiest job I have ever had and also the most fun, the people there were so much more up-beat than the sad miserable ones i work with in an office now. Your job does not always reflect who you are, some people blag their way to jobs and others have rich parents who send them to special school to get a good job, lucky them eh

My Husband's a street cleaner, and part time bin man, and he gets stereotyped as an illiterate idiot too, but what people don;t realise is, my hubby once worked as a top draughtsman at Rover, Longbridge, has a degree in technology, and mathematics, and has been pub quiz champion of our local area for the past 4 years. He loves his job, as he's out and about in gorgeous Cornish villages, meeting interesting people, and would NEVER go back to working in an office all day

I've only ever tried a mcdonalds once, the counter jumper was scruffy, inarticulate and used a form language known to only a few, I came out without any food and feeling besmoggled.  Where have all the chippy's gone?

Aww don't worry. The people that judge you for it are actually the stupid people.

I have friends who work there and they are also in school/college/uni.

Most staff there are students or immigrants who found it's an easy job to get.

The staff do not deserve the treatment they get, it's a rushed straining underpaid job.

My friend tells me about many horrible situations he has been in, people from his school who dropped out and are now bumming around will slag him when he is moving on with his life in uni and working-  doesn't make sense to me.

He could do the same work in a place with a better reputation and no-one would say anything, but as soon as you wear the top with 'I'm lovin it' written on the sleeve people will automatically judge you.

Shame on them i say.

Good for you for going to school! :) I have no problem w/ any people working in fast food unless of course if they were ever rude to me, which I haven't had anyone rude!

I think a lot of the people who give you that attitude assume that McDonalds is for people who don't have an education. I don't know why. I remember though when I was in middle school my father would really want me to get good grades and told me that if I got C's I would end up working at McDonalds. I don't  have that attitude - but it's people like my father who do.

l admire them for their ability to work in a strenuous and mundane  environment.l know of no-one who thinks mcdonalds workers are stupid.It's presumed your doing the job as an interim measure before going on somewhere.Because one or two said it to you,remember all the people who said nothing,don;t think that.Get a thick skin and brush it off.You forget that a lot of thick people go to Mcdonalds because it offers value for money,it's them that make themselves feel good by putting the workers down.
