  1. I think it is digusting that people with families can get more money from social security than they can earn it is a disgrace. Mind you having worked hard all my life I cannot quite understand the mentallity of idleness and sponging from the state.

  2. Thank you,Doom! I myself am on disabilities,up until then I worked All my life, and in dead end jobs,at one time holding down 2 jobs at once. We Are not all scroungers and Idle Good for Nothings. I would give anything to be able to leave my Bungalow Unassisted and go to work. I do Know That a lot of people are claiming without good reason, but not all of us!

  3. I think welfare should be abolished and the money put into job training or education for the unskilled, daycare vouchers, and food vouchers. rent vouchers would only be given as supplements to people who are working 30 hours a week or more.

  4. Are we counting people on disability here?  You know, there are people who simply CAN'T work.

    Able-bodied people, that's another question.

Of course, sometimes there's a problem if a person ON assistance wants to get OFF, but the only jobs they can find pay less than the assistance does - not enough to get off totally, but if you do any work they cut your benefits.

I've never been on welfare, but I've known a few people in that particular situation.

  5. They are lazy b*****d who live above people's pain.

  6. If you dont have a crisis, children, disabilities, etc, then you need to get off your F***ing *** and work.  Thats how I feel about it

  7. I myself do not believe in claiming money from state or federal or social security until it is needed...I myself am a hard working person who doesn't get paid alot too...and I also know someone who lives on Social Security because her child has some kind of problem she's able to work but is too lazy to work.......I get very irritated with those kind of people.......Ka-Kow

  8. I do not know what you are talking about. I work two jobs in order to receive help from the state in paying my childcare so that I can go to College in the evenings. The people who collect welfare are usually disabled. The only time I ever received "free" money, was when I had just had my second child and we had a family emergency, and we could not pay our electricity bill. Thank God, the state dept. of social and health services helped with that. People who are healthy enough to work need to apply to two different jobs for every week that they receive welfare, and are cancelled the minute they are given a job. Until then, they are put to work by the state cleaning up the roadways, cleaning up government buildings, helping at nursing homes etc, so in a sense, they are working, they just never know where they are going to be sent for the day and they get paid about half of what anybody else would. Only if you are disabled do you get free money. But even then, all that money is is tax dollars, which every citizen contributes to. If you want to save our tax dollars for something better, support Obama so that we can save the $5000 we spend in Iraq every minute.
