What do you think of rationing gas by selling it cash only??

If you had to pay as you go instead of using plastic, wouldnt you use less?? This would beat a complex system ...

i like the way you think.  this way the only the crack dealers., ex ny governors can access it!  lol really though what the h**l r we going to do   i say we need a gasoline boycott, everyone in america stays home for 2 weeks, then demands gas prices reasonable

Outstanding idea, not only for gas, but for everything. Another idea would be, but you wouldn't see the gas companies doing it, would be a cash discount for cash, they make money off of the credit cards that are issued and aren't paid at the end of the month.This country would be in better shape if everyone had to pay cash for everything, except in the case of a large bill that the person doesn't know what the cost is going to be, then use the plastic card. Example would be for car repairs, I wouldn't want to see someone carrying $300.00 or more in cash to pay a bill, with the possibility of being rob.

I dont think buying less is the answer I am in favor of boycott of purchasing fuel from one brand of fuel for a number of set days and when that station lowers its fuel price move to another brand and do the same . Not to mention if no one purchases fuel they will not buy the items that these places really make their money on,drinks ciggs, food and etc. I know this would work if the people in this country could only band together. Four days at a time I think would really put a hurt on their pockets. When asked why would this work? Look at how we have arrived at the price of fuel today. The price goes up at one station then back down at the next and never stays there for long and of course it also never returns to the starting price. I said back when it first started doing this that it would not stop until $4 a gallon. I might be wrong about the $4 part!!

Please don't blame this on our President. We are in a free society and it is nothing but corporate greed not to mention (US) stockholders that want huge profits for OUR investments. Rising fuel costs are crippling our country. I will not begin to state any of the ways. You have a mind and know it to be a fact.

So back to a boycott any good ideas on how it could get started???

Would suck... pickpocket heaven, especially with such a popular and expensive necessity as gasoline.

Besides, doesn't using a credit card and paying it off improve a person's credit rating? Heck, I pay for everything, even 2-dollar nick-nacks with my Mastercard. Getting points, a credit rating, and I don't have to keep going to the freakin ATM and walk around with the *cling cling* sound of change in my pocket.

Not to mention all those rapid-pay and easy-pay and pay'n'go features would be useless... and believe me you'd anger ALOT of people who use that! Haha.

Nah, people should be responsible.  Credit cards are convenient and there's no reason the rest of us shouldn't have this convenience just because a few people can't control themselves.   It is well known that carrying a balance on your credit card is a bad idea.   If people want to be stupid and irresponsible, it's their problem.
