I have always worked on my birthday,or always spent it with some family, this year because my birthday falls on a Saturday,I want to put on a party.I am supplying everything, the only thing I ask of my guests is to bring their own booze, lawn chairs,as I am supplying the food.Is this too cheesy to put on your own birthday party?

  1. No, it's not cheesy at all. In fact it's quite common. After all, how else can you ensure you do what you want when you are available? I've planned and hosted several of my own birthdays, and it was a lot of fun. Just make the invitation open, don't make any major demands. BYOB is not unreasonable, so don't worry. And asking them to bring chairs is fine if you don't have enough.

So, happy birthday and have fun.

  2. It's your party so it will be fine.

  3. No, not really. It would be a little cheesy to ASK folks to bring you a birthday present, though. If you feel funny about doing it, why don't you drop HEAVY hints to your friends/co-workers that your birthday is coming up soon and see if they get the hint.

Good luck and...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

    Enjoy.

  4. i think it's great!  very empowering.

plus you get things exactly the way you want them.

  5. NO its a good idea .......HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!! have fun ....

  6. I hope you invite ME!!!! This sounds like a great party. A birthday is to celebrate your life, and who better to arrange the party than you. Your life is great because of the people in it so your birthday party is a celebration of the people who make it great! Have Fun!

  7. Not chessy at all.

  8. no
