  1. I think there would be a lot fewer discipline problems in the schools if they were allowed to spank the students.  As a former teacher, I'm all for it.

  2. i dont believe in capital punishment,i dont think theyve used something like that sence the 1950s.

  3. I'm totally for it.  I went to a private school where paddling was a form of punishment.  Sure, we had degrees of punishment, and paddling was the last one before suspension.  The licks were administered by a teacher and witnessed by another staff member so there would be no accusations.  The number of licks was recorded and sent home to the parents.  Of course, the parents knew when enrolling their child about this policy and had to sign a paper allowing corporal punishment as deemed necessary by the administration.

  4. It's illegal.

  5. Paddling can lead to a spanking fetish. It should not be done.

  6. i don't know if they are aloud to paddle any more with out the parents permission but i don't think they should use them for the simple fact i got my butt paddle one time for something i did not do 9 licks is what i got and then i was forced to apologize for something i did not do to the other 2 students who lied on me to start with at the time the teacher said why would they lie on you but at my age i did not realize it was to get themselves out of trouble and when i grew up i caught that teacher out at a grocery store 15 years later and i told him about it i showed that sob the meaning of fear

Please say:  "I'm not sure, but I think..."

Please don't say:  "It's illegal" or other blanket statement.

This way you won't look like an a$$ as much.

  8. as long as they can justify it to the parents, I have no problem with it

(capital punishment, now, is a different story)

  9. Holes reduce Wind Resistance and help focus a students thoughts.

  10. Well, it's not capital punishment; that's the death sentence. Paddling is corporal punishment, and I think it's perfectly acceptable.

I was spanked as a kid. I don't have any physical or emotional scars, but what I do have is a respect for authority and a good helping of self discipline.

As far as the holes go as opposed to a normal paddle sans holes... There's not much difference physically, and I think there's no difference ethically. Again, no permanent damage is inflicted, and it teaches the kid in question a lesson that will help him keep from getting himself in a heap of trouble later.

  11. Our principal used this back in the mid  70's.

As for what do I think of them using them?  I say  YEA, PRINCIPAL!!

This NEEDS to be brought back.

They take spanking/paddling out of schools and then wonder why the kids are so bad  *SHEESH*

When are people going to see that time outs, taking things away, grounding, etc  IS NOT WORKING !!!

  12. I think it's illegal, so I don't think they use them anymore.
