Not only is it a big fat piece of flying c**p, I've heard that it takes so long to load and unload passengers. And, it can only land at special airports cuz it's so big and fat and takes up so much space. What a waiste. a big piece of c**p, and what's the point? Plus, the whole joystick thing is kinda g*y. Did i mention it's ugly? Well, you probably figured that out on ur own.

Nice aircraft, amazing both inside and out and mops the floor with the 747. And to the muppet called Captain Zach: you're really naive an have no idea what you're talking about. Young and stupid, i must say.

I was excited about it when it was being designed and constructed, but I'm really dissapointed. It just looks like a big ugly piece of metal. The interior is nice though. And no, I'm not an Airbus fan. I'm a Boeing fan.

It's quiet (good) and fuel efficient IF you can fill it.  But very large.  

There is a niche market for it, and I'm sure Airbus made it safe, etc, but it seems like more of a European pride project than a commercial venture- cost a lot of money to develop and can only build 40-45 a year flat out (per Airbus's numbers).

don't like it. It's too big cause's too many issue's and can only land in select place's in America. Personally i think Airbus should stay in France.

I think the A380 was a rather unnecessary creation from Airbus. My reasons are...

1. There isn't a huge need for a large aircraft; Boeing's 747 has already fulfilled those requirements and it's now one of the most well-known and well-used planes in history.

2. The A380 causes problems with its immense size; airports around the world have had to modify or construct new gates to accommodate this giant bird.

3. The fuel costs for this beast are going to skyrocket as the world starts to run out of this resource.

4. Seriously, it's not like the A380 will ever be full with its capacity, why make it so big?

5. On a more informal note, the A380 is a great, big fat aluminium can...its gigantic forehead and obsene number of wheels doesn't look very attractive.

6. I think Boeing looked deeper into the needs of the aircraft industry, the 787's qualities are much more convenient for companies looking for a new plane that has better fuel effeciency...however; the 787 doesn't look so hot either, compare the actual 787 to its first prototype model (the Boeing 7E7).

Personally, I am an Airbus fan (however, with a fair bit of respect for Boeing) but the A380 looks very clumsy compared to other more graceful Airbus planes such as the A330 or the A340 (my favourite Airbus bird).

I think that the a380 is alright but I think Boeing was wiser to focus on smaller planes

I think it's quite an accomplishment, but I'm unsure how long it will take before more airlines decide to acquire it. Some airlines  are very loyal to certain manufacturers like Boeing. And the A380 requires some adaptations to airports, like redesigned gates to accommodate the bigger size and more passengers.

I still love the 747-400 and 777 and plan to fly on both someday.

But to each their own.

personal I think airbus is a piece of c**p! throw away airplanes that don't last as long as boeing(shame on the airforce for picking them as the new tanker. as for the a380 to big limited airports that can handle its size. with increasing fuel prices to fly a plane that size? I find it hard to believe they could actually fill all the seats at one given time. it will be interesting
