What do you think of the Ampleside area in Vancouver?

Ambleside is a very nice area (beaches, mountains, luxury area) but very exclusive in terms of real estate.  If Ambleside is to rich for your blood you could look just east of there in the North Vancouver area.  Not quite as exclusive but still very very nice area

Its 'Ambleside' and its in West Vancouver (separate municipality) and its a beautiful beachfront, though terribly expensive (one of the most expensive areas in all of Canada).  Many people like it but its not my scene.
