Do you think the "proposed" trade was good for the Kings, the Rockets, Both? What do you think of Yao Ming's comments about his possible new teammate? Yao said this: "Hopefully, he's not fighting anymore and going after a guy in the stands." Do you think this will affect the Rocket's team chemistry?

  1. no i dont think it will affect the rockets team chemistry....and it was a good trade for the rockets and an ok trade for the kings..i dont think ron artest would be fighting now that he is in a good team to help him go to the playoffs which he wanted..

  2. I think that this is great for the Rockets they were already an elite team with just T Mac and Yao but now when you add Artest with his defense and his ability to score that makes them one of the top 2 teams in the west and maybe in the nba. They will definitely make it out of the first round this year I mean look at last year they should have beaten the Jazz if it weren't for a few questionable calls by the refs and the fact that Yao was hurt.  But in this upcoming season as long as T Mac Yao and Artest all stay healthy I can't see a team stopping them in the west

  3. It's a typical deal between a contender and a non-contender.  The contender (Rockets) gets a player who will make an immediate impact on the team's quest to go farther in the playoffs.  The non-contender (Kings) receives a few players and/or a future 1st round pick which may or may not turn into a jackpot.  Too early to say, but it could very well turn out to be a win-win deal.

  4. This trade benefits the Kings more in my mind.  Everyone has seem to have forgotten why the Kings got rid of him in the first place.  Don't get me wrong the guy is a beast, but he is also a nut job.  Houston should be very worried that already Artest is breaking down the chemistry and calling out the leader of the Rockets.  This guy really does not know when to shut up.  The kings walk away with a backup point guard to Udrih, and a very athletic talented young forward who should see a lot of minutes.  I predict the Rockets will experience the drama with Artest come December.  The Kings will be the Trailblazers last year, and turn a lot of heads next season, with a young talented group of unselfish players.

  5. I think the Rockets will deffinally get out the first round this year.

  6. i dont think itll do much, those thoughts shouldve stayed within the organization and not brought out to the public, but yao doesnt say anything bad about artest.  he praised artests abilities on the court.  he just has concerns about how hte chemistry will be with a new teammate, especially ron artest.  everyone on that team is thinking the same, yao just said it.  as to what artest said, i dont understand what hes talking about, i didnt know being ghetto was part of his culture.

overall, this trade helps the rockets.  now if yao or tmac gets injured, they wont have to struggle to look for scoring somewhere, artest can fill in for either one, unless both get injured.  with artest, they can now play small ball using artest at the pf, and having battier and artest out there would strengthen their perimeter defense by a lot.
