I think the FBI, CIA and the INS want to keep drug consumption very high so they keep getting money to fight this "war." The best policy in dealing with narcotics is legalization, regulation and tax it. Look at the Dutch policies with respect to soft drugs.

  1. The WOD is like the War on Poverty... it's not winnable... and, yeah, wouldn't surprise me if they were doing their best to help people get the drugs, then busting some of them, so they can show that they're 'doing their job'...

  2. I think its time to get serious in this war. Drugs ruin lives and whole communities. Legalizing them would only further our problems. So we get tough. Mandatory death penalty for drug sales. That would stop the problem REALLY quick.

  3. Waste of time, waste of money.

  4. Don Quixote is alive and well!

Banning anything makes it more attractive. "BANNED IN BOSTON" was the most effective advertisement ever used. Decriminalization would reduce consumption, eliminate enforce costs, and put the drug traffickers out of business.

My personal opinion is that use of dangerous drugs or engaging in dangerous activities should be treated as attempted suicide.

  5. A believe in the war on "drugs", but there should not be a war on "pot".

  6. I totally disagree with you.  We should ramp it up.  Death penalties for suppliers and dealers, burning of crack houses, missiles for manufacturing sites.  We need to start a real war on drugs.  Drugs kill more Americans in one way or another than terrorists could even dream of.  It is time to get serious about it.

  7. They are out maned and out gunned.

In your plan what do we do with all the attics that will come form it and where do we put the mass gravies that will be from the ODs
