I have not read The Great Gatsby, but there are a number of online study guides, and quite a few other resources on the web that can help you with this question.  Most of them have quite a bit of good information.  Have a look at these, and you should get some help with your work.  If you do a search you will find many other links.  .

  3. I think it is a fantastic book that gets more relevant every day. The basic theme of trying to fit in, and the potential pitfalls one encounters, is as much an issue for us as it was in the 1920's. Almost nothing is more American than the desire for self improvement. How many books are written every year on how to be rich, pretty, popular etc?

  5. Hated the book. Hated the main character, but it's still a great book to learn about characterizations, so pay attention to the symbolism and you'll be doing OK.

  6. It can be a tough read if your attention span isn't great.  Other than that it's a great story.

  8. I think the Great Gatsby is one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life. I read it a year before it was required in school. Yea, I might be a nerd.
