What do you think of the Guernsey Design for the Allies in this Spectacle coming up on the Weekend?

I think it's plain to say the least and a disgrace not only that we didn't have an Old Style Carnival but this is the so-called Best Design they could come up with for the rest of us to wear.

Your thoughts and feelings are always greatly appreciated.

  1. I think the dreamteams jumper is bloody pathetic, all the so called brainiacs who work for the AFL and this is what they come up with, stupid, they look like umpires, white socks and shorts, nah actually they remind me of something they used to wear on old calestenics videos form the 50's or something, surely every one has seen those old black and white films, they look ridiculous.

i'm victorian thriugh and through but i think that dreamteam will flog us, what a forward line, franklin, pavlich, richo etc.

  2. It is terrible.

The Vics have the Big V - sometrhing that has aklways been recognizable.

The Dream team has something that I would not wear fishing.

  3. if you mean the dreamteam guernsey, i actually quite like it.

    its a really smart idea.

like its got the names of every club within each of the non-victorian states.

so all the local clubs of WA, NT, SA, Qld, NSW and im not sure if Tasmania's on there.

    it should be though.

    great idea :)

  4. i really dont have a comment!!!!

  5. I ACTUALLY LIKE THE GUERNSY MY CLUB BROADVIEW ISNT MENTIONED THOUGH INSTEAD ITS BROADVEW OVAL WTF?

  6. yeah i agree the Vic jumper has a big V on it

the allies should have a big L on it

  7. First of all, it is not the Allies, it is the Dream Team. The Allies were a seperate entity in the era of State of Origin, are now defunt, and wore a putrid combination of teal, white, black and orange (as seen on http://bomberblitz.com/~rmered/allies.ht...

Secondly, you may be unaware that alot of effort has gone into the Dream Teams guensey design. A neutral colour scheme needed to be in place so all other states, exept for Victoria, could relate to it. So, white is the predominant colour, hinted with the gold and navy used in the 150 years logo. But, the main featue of this jumper is the fact that 1,246 names of grassroots football clubs across Australia, excluding Victoria, are printed from the chest down, back and front in gold lettering. On this website, http://150years.com.au/TributeMatch/Trib... you can scan the Dream Team's jumper under a magnifying glass to find your local footy club. In my opinion, it is a fantastic comprimise and will definately be worn with pride on the weekend.

  8. they started off with a blank piece of paper and thats how it stayed. The whole concept is an insult to every state outside Victoria.

  9. The club I play for is on there so cool, good idea

    Design wise forget it
