  1. Nothing. It's just a place that has something different. The food is not that good...

It is a cool experience for a pre-teen maybe.

  2. It is a burger place with bar stools that go up and town and dancing skeletons.  It's different for atmosphere but the food is typical.

  3. Jekyll & Hyde isn't an exceptional restaurant... just merely kitchsy and gimmickly, which I find to be true of most themed restaurants/bars.  A much cooler NYC experience is to find out where the locals are going now, so pick up a Time Out New York Mag and check that out, and also look at a recent Zagat guide, which can give you a nice overview of price, popularity, decor, service, and ambiance, as well as addresses and phone numbers.  The best way to do New York is DEFINITELY not to hit the tourist attractions.

  4. My newphew (he was about eleven)  came to visit from California and we took him to Jekyll & Hyde.  He had such a good time, that even though the food was pretty bad and overpriced, we all had a great time.  I do remember that the restroom was filthy. It's worth it to try it once.

  5. Its not the best food I've ever had, but it isn't the worst either. Its a good place to go if you have kids with you since they will enjoy it. There are costumed characters like Brahm Stroker's Dracula coming up to your table and singing skeletons. Its also a very interesting trip to the bathroom, but I will leave that for you to find out on your own!

  6. It's a "filthy" place to eat bad food but if you want to experience what it looks like inside, sit at the bar, and sip on a bottled Coca Cola !

  7. i have been there. i got a buy back from a bartender- rather unheard of in nyc i know lol

i liked it. it's very themey but fun. finding the hidden bathroom was an experience in itself lol

  8. i went was I was youger... from what I remeber it was an awsome place

  9. The food is terrible and the service is horrid.

  10. I am a New York City native and we do not have any one place that is a hot spot.  There are tourist places where you will see tourists go.  However, us New Yorkers will go to each individuals favorite place whether in our own local neighborhood or in Manhattan but us New Yorkers call Manhattan "The City".

However, Jekyll and Hyde is a haunted restaurant and bar for eccentric explorers and mad scientists where guests can eat and drink among the unusual and the bizarre.

Jekyll and Hyde provides continuous live entertainment and spooky special effects. Wacky club members and domestic staff such as Professor Shroud or Dreadworthy the Butler mingle with the guests while the spirits bring to life the unusual artifacts collected from around the globe. Guests are warned... anything can happen at Jekyll and Hyde.
