What do you think of the Queen making Prince William a Knight of the Garter?

I saw on the news the other night that HM the Queen had made HRH Prince William a Knight of the Garter. I think it was a silly idea since when the she finally does die/abdicate what ever, and HRH Prince Charles becomes King, William already gets made a knight of the order as the Prince of Wales. What do you think?

She is merely following tradition.Charles has a long wait ahead of him and this is a way of preparing William for the future.There is nothing silly in preparing for all of the various ceremonies he will attend and eventually preside over.It's just practice.
