  1. i like the addition of barnes singletary and amundson

amundson was on the warriors summer league team and he was a high energy defender

singletary is a solid back up watch some youtube highlights of him

he probably wont be a great nba player but at least he is a true point guard

the suns need more atheletic wingmen

barnes is nice but he im sure don nelson didnt bench him for no reason

he probably wont make any contribution to the team

lopez was a mega waste of a draft pick

at best he will be a back up center - so it was definently a waste of a first round pick- the suns should have traded up one or to spots for bayless or randolph and with barbosa as a trading piece there is probably no reason they shouldt have

the future of our team lies in the hands of daryl strawberry, alando tucker, and boris diaw -don't get me wrong they could become good players but.... comparing them to the young talent of the blazers warriors hornets and even the lakers... well that self explanitory

the suns remind me of the mavs- teams that wont win don't wont to blow up their teams and start anew.

look at teams that have revamped their teams boston (champs)

blazers clippers even nets are looking toward lebron... i mean the future

not to mention the team's average age is 50

lets face it nash will not be ale to play at a high level for very much longer

will shaq lose weight and become more effective this year- not likley- plus 82 game season

grant hill staying healthy again maybe

we have a nice piece in barbosa but i have a good feeling with the new kerr regime i dont think the suns will have the same wide open lose cannon offense that made them so unique and effective in years past

the suns have made some serious mistakes that have lead to this point

the biggest was joe johnson being traded for ill fated picks and diaw who i admit is not that bad

    trading picks for cash

    losing rondo in the draft

during the summer of lebron in 2010 im afraid stat will be looking to move on

shaq trade may not have been that bad

with new defensive coach who knows maybehe will be a solid anchor on the team

plus if they kept marion and he left as a free agent they would have got nothing in return and would probably still been over the cap

plus they saved cash (some thing the suns love to do ) by getting rid of banks contract

i think its about time for the suns to break up their core group

they cannot win a championship with the emergence of the hornets lakers and jazz

its pretty funny how teams keep getting better and they make no improvements

pretty soon nash shaq and hill will retire

  2. I do not think any of them are strong additions and the problem still remains in defense along with the Shaq/Steve/Amare triangle. If they can mix in perfectly, championship is never out of question with the suns. However, Lopez definitely brings upside to post defense relief for Amare, Barnes provides more shooting but the others are untested or unknown in my opinion.

  3. not that good though...the only relevant addition is barnes

  4. Hey Antwon whats up??

I LOVE what the Suns did they are younger (built for the future cause these kids get to train from the best), better defensively, better offensively (if that was even possible)............they have it made. They now have a back up for every position.

This is how the team goes now its perfect: All-Stars, MVPS, Future HOFs in the Startin line-up backed up by young, fast, strong, defensivly minded guys that are ready to learn and excited to play. It is a perfect combination of youth and wisdom. I love it

  5. Hey there Suns fan!

I'm quite pleased with EVERY new addition, including Coach Porter! I think the fans will be pleasantly surprised with our additions and many changes to the team and its new coaching strategy.

As for the Suns' off-season: Many of the guys have been involved with a lot of community service and *environmental causes (*Steve Nash's support and involvement with getting the Suns' organization and its facilities to "go green" ---awesome!)

I would have liked to have seen Shaq pay more attention to his free throws than to the trouble he got himself into ----ugh. I hope he learns a lesson from his actions and the embarrassment he caused to his team, family, and fans. It's time for him to "man up" in his life and as a professional.

The best is yet to come for our Phoenix Suns, and it's about time!

  6. Robin Lopez- good pick

    Matt Barnes- good addition

Goran Dragic- never heard of him

Louis Amundson- sucks, i know because he played probably 5 minutes the whole season for the Sixers

Sean Singletar- never heard of him

  7. so far looks like rockets made the best additions this offseaso

  8. Barnes will be great for them, but the loss of D'Antoni is going to hurt.  I absolutely love Terry Porter, but the loss of D'Antoni coupled with the loss of Marion is only going to drop the Suns in the standings.

Their one hope is that Shaq is in shape and motivated.  If so, and if Porter can get the guys to buy into actually playing defense, they've got a deep team with Nash, Barbosa, Bell, with Hill, Barnes, and Diaw, with Stoudemire and Shaq down low.

Barnes is the only player likely to contribute much from your list.  He should play around 30 minutes a night, and, along with Bell, will really be a great defender on the perimeter for you.
