They are c**p. No chance of even getting past their pool, never mind winning the Webb Ellis Cup. The Canucks are ahead of you at the moment.

Not a snowballs chance in h**l, its strange cause even the rejects from college football in America are still some top class athletes, the US do although can claim to be the last team to win gold at the Olympics that last time rugby was included.

i read in the paper that the biggest problem facing the US is that the sport is amateur there, the paper said all other professional sports have a constant supply of top class athletes but there is no major interest in the rugby cause its not professional. US have the greatest potential over any country to produce a some point in the far future a good team but only if they can attract the interest. at the moment the top sports are NFL, NHL, Baseball, soccer and the NBA.

Not this time round tho, they should just enjoy the experience for now and learn from it, and maybe in time you might have a shot

I think it's great that they're there competing, but alas, she will not win the cup!

It's a pity Francois Viljoen got injured, he could have made an impact when the States played the lesser teams like Tonga (who realistically is the only team the US can beat in their group)

Winning the WC will be a "dream too far".

After all the Americans can't even win the Basketball WC or it's Olympic gold, or the Baseball / Softball one.

However, a very creditable performance against the English yesterday. 10-28. Could've been closer if US had some more "assets".
