  1. I like it cause of Nintendo games. Mostly SSBB.

  2. I am one of them (the people having fun).

I traded my Laptop for a Wii because my fiance wanted one, and I was really hesitant because I didn't think it could be that good, and what if I don't play it that much?

But it's been a month now, and I am still stuck on the first game! I have 9 other games I haven't even touched because it is so much fun! It is my favourite gaming system so far, and good exercise if you stand up and move around with it!! I love it.

I don't think it's a waste of money- it is a good retail price, and you can always buy pre- loved games for cost- cutting.

However, Nintendo gets you in the financial department for convenience... if you want your Wii remote to run on rechargeable batteries instead of constantly buying new ones, you have to buy those with a battery charger separately, and also you normally only get one Wii remote when you purchase a console, and I don't recommend the Wii if you don't have someone to play it with.

So you would have to buy an extra remote, and the nunchucks are sold separately too. (The nunchucks are for specific games- not all games require them, but trust me, they are fun when you use them). e.g Boxing- it gets all your energy out, and if you have a gripe with the person you are playing with, you can settle it in the ring!

  3. wii is the best it can make ps3 feel like its not a ps3 at all it is the most funnest thing

  4. I have a Wii and we bought more for the family interaction that the games provide and it is very fun.  If you are looking for multiplayer party/family games Wii is very good.  If you are looking for high level graphics and more mature games like GTA the Wii is probably not for you.

In addition, if you are used to playing a PlayStation, there is a bit of a learning curve with the Wii controllers.  For example with golf to hit the ball you have to actually swing the controller like a golf club unlike the PS where you only have to push buttons.
