Federal Reserve part right on.  Not many people disagree.  You might find one or two people here at Yahoo in love with the Fed.  You sure couldn't PAY me enough to troll Yahoo Answers looking for every single question that speaks to the true nature of the Fed.  Problem with finding good Fed information is that all the economics professors have been indoctrinated because of the way education is funded.  Didn't it seem a little odd that former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan received an honorary knighthood from the Queen of England?

I consider Zeitgiest to be an intellectually dishonest film, not because of the filmmakers personal bias, but because of its disregard for the truth. There is so much questionable statements that can easily be refuted, or controversial points that have legitimate opposing views that should have been presented.

It goes beyond the healthful skepticism needed for a thriving democracy and into the alternate universe where virtually every conspiracy theory is considered true, and any contrary evidence is part of the grand conspiracy and should be ignored.

Its a propaganda film. it has been edited and modified to present a certain point of view. its not a "documentary" any more than "Birth of a nation" was.

I thought it was fascinating.

it's called the 'movie' not a documentary so it's designed to make you think. it organizes the jumbled messages we are receiving & i think its ideas are mostly logical & accurate.

although i thought it gave an extremely clear explanation of the concept of religion in part one, this should have been shown in a separate film however, as two controversial issues like these can't be debated together. that's the most fundamental problem with Zeitgeist.

Part Two is the plain truth about 9/11 with even more interesting parts left out! everything can be backed-up by researching in depth on the internet:

the towers were demolished on purpose...

the explosions in the towers are well-documented by the firemen & eye-witnesses...

the columns were cut & dislodged by the explosions...

yellow, molten iron was seen dripping from the towers - proof of thermite melting the steel...

(some 'debunkers' say the molten metal was the aluminium from the planes, but molten iron was also found at WTC7)

NORAD fighter-pilots did not defend the skies as they would have done because they had been confused by a 'war games' practice mission in case of terrorist attacks at exactly the same hour, that day. even the Russians got confused & offered to pull out of the practice due to the 'real' emergency they heard about. the British police also had 'terrorist attack' trainings at exactly the same time of day as the London Bombings.

Pentagon - i don't know, why hasn't the FBI released all the footage? the evidence of a plane is lame & there are strange coincidences why people weren't where they 'should' have been....

Pittsberg - i don't know, but such peculiar evidence of the plane....

i liked the way the movie showed that the 9/11 'false flag' - where the government stages an event pretending to be someone else to gain bad publicity - was not just a 'one-off' but had been done before by the US govt.

Part three is completely accurate in my opinion.

Banking members have taken over the economy. someone has power over you if you're in debt to them. the Medici family of Bankers in Florence, Italy, even chose who the Pope was to be, once!! then, if you have power, you realise that the way to make money is by creating a war.

(i didn't realise J.D.Rockefeller made $200,000,000 from World War I?!)

but nobody, just nobody, messes with the Federal Reserve Bank. it doesn't belong to America, it's privately owned. Woodrow Wilson had something to say against it, Louis McFadden too, a Congressman - who was poisoned at a banquet & JFK of course....

....the Gold Seizure in 1933 by the Federal Reserve, means our notes & coins, have no 'meaning' whatsoever.

btw, the US does have 'four giant bases' built in Iraq - that makes a total of 14 permenant bases. US troops will NEVER be withdrawn. Iraq is a US colony now & eventually they even want americans to go & live there.

Zeitgeist is a film written, produced, directed, and edited by Peter Joseph (pseudonym for James Coyman). The film challenges some established institutions with a mixture of fact, fiction, and insinuation.

The overarching thesis of Zeitgeist is the ultra-paranoid belief that every institution is lying to you and is out to get you. This includes the government, the church, lots of secret societies, the media, the rich, and even universities. Needless to say, such a belief system tends to embrace most conspiracy theories as 'proof' of those beliefs.

There is no inclusion of contrary evidence or opinions. It is a completion immersion into the filmmakers point-of-view with no regard for any true scholarly exploration.

The part about the federal reserve may very well be believed by a lot of people here but so is global warming skepticism and even intelligent design,  all three are lies. That many believe it says nothing about the accuracy of a theory and in this case more about how dissatisfied people are with the way the world works and because of that very willing to accept every story that seems to have an explanation for everything. That alone should be a red flag for any real free thinker. Only in made up fiction does anyone have the whole story.

Zeitgeist: Central bank loans all new money at interest

The central bank does not simply supply a Government’s economy with money, it LOANS it to them AT INTEREST.

False … as it relates to the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve does not make any direct loans to the government. When the Federal Reserve wants to increase the money supply, it will buy previously issued T-Bills on the open market. This action does not create any new debt. In fact, if one considers the Federal Reserve as an arm of the government, then the Fed buying T-Bills actually reduces the amount of debt held by the public.

True … as it relates to some central banks in history and elsewhere in the world. But where fiat money is concerned, a central bank making direct loans to the government is usually a sure sign of a government in trouble. Virtually all cases of hyperinflation in modern history involve the central bank (by order of government leaders) simply printing money and making direct loans to the the government for expenses.

Zeitgeist: regulating the value of currency

Then through the use of increasing and decreasing the supply of money, the central bank regulates the VALUE of the currency being issued.

Mostly True as it related to the Federal reserve today. The Federal Reserve, as part of its mission, actively tries to control inflation.

Partly True as it relates to central banks before 1900. Back then, there was more of a laissez faire approach to the money supply that allowed for inflation in boom periods and deflation in bust periods.

Zeitgeist: system can only produce debt

It is critical to understand that the entire structure of this system can only produce on thing in the long run: DEBT.

Somewhat true It is true that a central bank will try to foster a vibrant economy that will provide plenty of capital available for borrowing. However, the decision to borrow is left up to the legislature, business, and individuals.

Zeitgeist: end result is SLAVERY

The end result of this system is SLAVERY, for it is impossible for the Government, and thus the public, to ever come out of the self-generating debt.

This does not meet the definition of "slavery" where one person is owned by another person. (Perhaps this can be dismissed as a bit of hyperbole)

As it relates to the U.S: It is definitely possible for the Government to get out of debt. Since most T-bills mature in less than 10 years, the government could get out of debt by running a balanced budget for 10 years straight.

Caveat: Since the Fed uses T-Bills as collateral for U.S. currency, there would be the question of what happens will it use if there is no T-bills to be had. One can only speculate (since there has always been T-bills available). The question did come up during the short-lived Clinton deficits. The answer was that the Treasury would produce T-Bills anyway as these were the bellweather for all other investments. But this would be a choice of the Treasury, not a requirement of the Federal Reserve.

The far right advocates the gold standard because it gets government out of the business of controlling the money supply. They fear that printing money creates inflation, and retracting money causes recessions. But the opposite is also true: printing money cures recessions, and retracting it cures inflation. Governments in the last 60 years have used these policies with tremendous success. There has not been a single depression or bank panic in any nation anywhere in the world using Keynesian monetary policies. But during the Gilded Age of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, depressions and bank panics were common. I think it's riveting... and I buy about 90% of the info. The conclusion is up for debate, having said that.. I believe it is as good as any explanation I've seen offered.

I know one thing for sure... we aren't being fed truths. as we mature in this modern world of ours, the ability through technology to reach beyond traditional dogma will be our release from religious and theocratic Dogma...

What matters is not what I think.  What matters is what you think.  Your asking the question shows you have not fallen prey to group-think mentality.

Zeitgeist is designed to wake people up.  It does contain some errors and because of that, people often mistakenly dismiss the entire film.  The writers seem to hold the view that Christianity is merely an agent of social control.  They are entitled to hold and express it that view.  I don't share it.  There are many web sites that debunk Part One.  Do a Goole search for "Zeitgeist Christianity" to find them.  There are other of agents of social control that could have been used to lay the foundation for Parts Two and Three of Zeitgeist, but the film producers chose Christianity.  For that reason, I believe Zeitgeist may be a trojan horse, as I expressed in my answer here:-

Zeitgeist, like the film "Loose Change", can be credited for inspiring a great many people to start questioning 9/11.  In some ways, it is more of a hindrance then a help as to finding truth of 9/11 because of the errors.  People claiming those errors as fact are ridiculed, and that serves to discredit everyone seeking truth.  See this page for a critique of Loose Change written by members of the truth movement.  There may also be a critique of Zeitgeist's account of 9/11 at that site:

As 9/11 and New World Order are connected, I will discuss New World Order first (of which North American Union is part).  I believe Zeitgeist could have done a better job at issuing the warning about New World Order, but it is definitely much, much better than nothing.  The film should have placed greater emphasis on informing viewers about the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission and how those globalist organizations control foreign policy.  This page is a good start:

Read from the CFR's own web site, and their publications, and connect the dots.  It won't take long to see that CFR stands for global government.  As the globalists get closer to their one-world government objective, they become more open about it.  You will also find reading at that site about their agenda for North American Union (part of the global government agenda).

To get a sense of the true nature of the people behind the CFR, research globalist David Rockefeller (Honorary Chairman of the CFR and co-founder of the Trilateral Commission).  New World Order is not about some cabal of Satanists wanting to take over the world.  It is about elite corporate interests pressing for one-world government, and they are well on their way to achieving their goal.  Again, the media mentions very little about this because the corporate main stream media is owned by CFR members and people and companies that profit from globalization, war and the war on terror.

There are so many crazy theories about new world order that people are overlooking what is happening today, right before their very eyes - the gradual implementation of global government and the dismantling of national sovereignty.  That is what Zeitgeist purports to warn you of but in the process of enhancing the film's entertainment value, I'm not sure that message comes through clearly.  Because of the limit on number of characters here, I cannot expand on this further.  See my answers to this question:

On to 9/11:  9/11 was either a false flag, or it was exploited like a false flag.  If we are to believe the government's official lie that the air defense and intelligence failures were honest mistakes, then why were people at the top not held accountable for those mistakes?  If the government was a corporation, heads would have rolled and there would have been mass-firings, including the CEO. That did not happen after 9/11.  Rather, people responsible for the "mistakes" were promoted.  The first order of business should have been addressing the reason for the failures.  Instead, the government chose to start the gradual and on-going dismantling of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights (starting with the Patriot Act and continuing to this day as evidenced by the FISA legislation passed earlier this week) and the gradual building of a "surveillance / police" state in America.  The Constitution and Bill of Rights are major impediments to the new world order agenda.  An excuse was needed to begin the dismantling process, and 9/11 provided the perfect excuse.

There is a great deal of compelling evidence for government foreknowledge and complicity in 9/11.  Keep in mind that if the government was involved, it was not "the government". Rather, it was criminal elements inside the government and their associates outside the government.  The corporate main stream media protects the criminals by muzzling the 9/11 story and painting anyone questioning it as a radical moron.  Why?  The answer to that warrants its own question. 9/11 kicked the new world order agenda into high gear.  For that reason, I believe it much more fruitful to focus 9/11 research on the "why" and "who benefited" rather than the "how was it done" theories.  We may never know how it was done because much of the evidence was destroyed; however, a clear picture is now emerging as to who benefits and why it was exploited.

Instead of Zeitgeist, I highly recommend Mike Ruppert's film, "The Truth & Lies of 9/11".  Ruppert covers potential geopolitical motivations for 9/11, current and historical criminality in government (including the Bush family), and some of the evidence of foreknowledge and complicity in 9/11.

or read his book, "Crossing the Rubicon".  The film was made a few years ago (and therefore doesn't cover new evidence  arising since) but remains very relevant today.  Great efforts have been made to silence Ruppert over the years including harassment, ridicule, marginalization, false charges, and even poisoning.  Amazingly, he is still breathing.  Why has Ruppert never been sued for libel for the film or the books?  In his words, "the truth is the perfect defense against libel."

I have an opinion about the Zeitgeist's take on the Federal Reserve and I keep that opinion to myself because, quite frankly, I wish to stay alive.

If you follow up with your own research, be careful what you read.  There are staged government disinformation sites all over the web, designed to throw you off and to discredit the truth movement by putting forth ridiculous theories that are easily debunked (e.g. the "no planes theory" for 9/11).  There are paid government disinformation agents all over the internet, posing as regular users in forums such as this one.  Generally, if the people presenting a web site are not willing to be named (and you cannot verify that they are real people), I would recommend confirming what you read there from sites where owners do disclose who they are.  Some of my Yahoo Contacts had a discussion about that recently when one of them noticed what appears to be a 9/11 disinformation site. For further self-research, I suggest starting with the Mike Ruppert film first, then move on to learning about the CFR and its agenda for global government.  Until people wake up and realize that the both political parties have been hijacked by criminals and elite corporate interests, nothing will change for the better.  As long as people continue to believe the government's official lies about 9/11, people fail to realize that the war on terror, as advertised, is a fraud.  Yes there are terrorists that hate us, but they hate us because of our foreign policy and not because we are free and wealthy.  As long as people remain unnecessarily fearful of terrorism, they will continue to willingly give up civil liberties and go along with foreign policy that is aimed at implementing one-world government.  

We are sleep-walking into tyranny.  That is the most important message to be received from the film Zeitgeist.

I liked it.  I really wish that they would have left that first part out because it insults too many Americans and many won't watch the rest.  Which is pretty informative.

*  The constuction of the Twin Towers as described by onsight engineers.. How they could have sustained multiple impacts of jetliners.
