I'm thinking of giving to this charity. They fix cleft palate problems in children from Third World Countries. Charity Navigator won't rate them, though they are a 501 c (3). I've been appalled lately @ the reports going around @ some of the charities where skimming is going on @ the top and the CEO's are making $500K a year. I also wonder where my $ goes when I get gifts such as calenders, book-bags, address labels and stickers.

  1. If you feel that this is a good organization, then contribute. Remember to look after yourself first.

  2. My daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate..Right before her surgery, there was a show on that shows what they do..My mom saw it and donated a surgery, which if I can remember, is right around $300 to fix the cleft lip and palate..It's a wonderful cause...I believe our plastic surgeon helps out with Smile Train..It can make such a difference in a kids life..
