  1. FUN FUN FUN Lots to do

  2. I think most of it is great. We just moved our office to Soulard and have rehabbed a house near Holly Hills. We always tend to go to city restaurants and bars rather than those in the county. I know enough to stay away from the high crime areas especially after dark. The only thing it's missing is a large shopping center.

  3. Love it. Are there problems? Absolutely. Where aren't there problems? I do get frustrated at the attitude of some folks who have chosen to live downtown and then want the homeless to get out of their neighborhood, but I guess that's because I haven't really had any problems with anyone I run into on the streets. Love MetroLink and hope the tax for mass transit passes in November (forgive my political campaigning).

I don't want to minimize the problems that do exist, but I do love the city.

  4. It's not as neally as bad/dangerous as where I live, trust me.

  5. It's fun. I live in the city. Lots to do, but jobs suck.

  6. City living is the best.  We moved to the St. Louis area over 10 years ago and spent the first seven years in a St. Louis County suburb, moved to the City three years ago.  In three years, I have met and interacted with more of my neighbors than I did the whole time in the 'burbs.  It is much more of a community!   From our neighborhood, we can walk to parks, the farmers market, restaurants, etc. - ride bikes and overall enjoy an urban lifestyle.

  7. i love it. i moved here seven years ago from los angeles. I made friends a lot more quickly here b/c people were more friendly & open.

the city is definitely like a small town. i run into people i know whenever i go out to a restaurant or shopping.

there's a lot of things to do & much of it is FREE! the zoo, history museum, science center, art museum, outdoor theater, shakespeare festival - all free.

i love the architecture & the brick, too. so much character. i like that st. louisans love st. louis & embrace its history. the local PBS channel has heaps of programming on detailing something interesting about the city.

  8. It's bad I'm glad I don't live over there.
