  1. I've hadVirgin phone, internet and TV for 2 years:

    * Phone - absolutely no problems.

    * Internet - absolutely no problems.

    * TV - sometimes the set-top box needs turning off and on; and sometimes the replay option doesn't work.

I agree with the bill, sometimes confusing. Had Sky before and this is so much better for the price £40 for everything.

  2. I can't fault them.  The bills aren't to clear mind but:

Internet - always worked in the last 18 mths, always been available.

    Same with the phone.

Top stuff. I use V+ too.  I like it, three tuners, better than sky!

  3. i have been with Virgin for a long time now as a loyal customer they reduced my bill last year from £70 to 36 as i was considering leaving as it was getting to expensive but for £36 i have talk unlimited so i can call any landline any time up to 60 mins at a time completley free.

My internet has been great totally hassle free, we buy movies sometimes which is good i have good tv package i just dont have sport and movies and at the end of last year i had the v+ box that has had a few flaws but its working great now and def worth the additional £10 a month.

The billing i agree is confusing and i have had a few things on my statement that i shouldnt have had and they have promptly credited me for them so thats ok.

The only major problem i had was when i asked to change my home number due to nuisance calls, they changed it for me free no problem with in 24 hours yet 3 weeks later my mum calls me ranting on my mobile that she cant get through on my new number its a dead tone. i was on line so new line was working, she has called id so i called her back and she tried to say i wasnt at home, i thought she was kidding with me so i called my mobile and sure enough a different number came up on my screen. I couldnt believe it i called Virgin and they had made a mistake and they couldnt give me the number i had back and casued quite a lot of confusion and in the end i settled for the new number and compensation which i really didnt have much choice on as i couldnt have the number they orginally changed me to back as it had been allocated to someone else already.

I do think that is a rare circumstance and on the whole i am happy lol.

  4. i  have virgin we get 1p movies on tv :DDD

  5. Not a lot I'm afraid. Their phone service is one of the most expensive and unlike a BT line you have no option to use another provider for calls. Their broadband, while faster than most BT based service has traffic shaping that can cause some things to run slow and is not as fast (in personal experence) as the newer BTline based unbundled services such as Be.

Given the option, i'd choose a BT line but get my calls and broadband from a third party such as Sky, O2, Be, Zen or even Talktalk. (I currently use Be - www.bethere.co.uk myself who I would recommend, on a BT line).

  6. I use Virgin broadband because I'm a long way from the BT exchange and their cable is made of damp string.  You get the bandwidth it says rather than a cheaper deal that lies.
