  1. as i was reading whorish GRO's post my spirit literally lit in flames, i was furious mad at her and if i'd see her in person i'd slap the b's ugly existence.. but wait remember  ethics still intact, in some their are a fraction of truth in her decisive mouth, we are deem as mediocre but i think its injustice to stereotype pinoy community (including GRO's self, poor she-man cant live out her dreams in reality she resolves to internet freedom).

As of now if i were a Foreign person i would stay away of the Philippines for a while, reality serve its pretty chaotic here. Just the same i would not compel any tourist not to come. And not every filipina is as whorish as GRO person up there.

  2. First of all, it ain't so little - it's over 7000 islands big and little, and from north to south it's like from Boston to the tip of Florida.

Interesting place... I was working in Taiwan, met a Filipina, Visited the country, got married, and now here 8 years. Guess you can get the other information from everybody else.

  3. ... okay, well, you say you don't want to hear from Filipinos, but I am one and i live in the states, so this is what i think of it...

i hate the major cities, its crowded and populated. everything is "americanized". the food is great, and it's not just weird stuff that people see on the travel channel- not everyone eats that stuff.

the people are generally nice. Philippines used to be known for their hospitality... not so much now if they take hostages, i think.

at the moment, i wouldn't recommend going to the southern island of mindanao because of the terrorrist activity. it's best to guard your belongings and not to flaunt your wealth- it's a third world country and it's still a dog eat dog world out there.

you get frisked everywhere you go. you want to go inside a mall- you get frisked, inside a store- get frisked. If you're gonna visit, you need to get used to it [but it's okay... i think most of that's for show they don't really search thoroughly].

what i love most are the provinces [aka the country] because it always feels lax. the tension of the big cities dissipate. there, people work hard and you see people smile after a hard day's work.

let me know how it goes for you.

  4. I'm an American and my wife is from The Philippines.  I like it there and spend as much time there as I can.  I like it there because of the slower pace of society.  The people are generally friendly and there are loads of natural beauty to see and experience.  It's a kind of poor country so they lack many personal conveniences we see in developed countries.  There is always someone able and willing to help you with your luggage, site seeing, etc.  Most of the people there can at least understand English if not speak it.  If you want to see the "real" Philippines, do it away from Manila as that is a huge rat nest of people.  Its hard to get a feel for the country based on Manila alone.  Have a good time and don't be stingy with the tips if you go there.

  5. I love Palawan! I've grown up in New Zealand but I prefer the Philippines. Palawan is so rural (I htink it's great!) and I love how time goes so slowly, so sweet. I wanna go back :[

  6. I am a white Russian, with a sprinkling of the royal bloodline of the Hapsburgs.   And I've traveled much of the world.

And I also saw on the map this archipelago.   Just below the Japans, is it?

Fine country, my good man.   You should visit.   I really think the country is just as good, if not better, than the British Isles.

How did I come to hear of it, you say?  Well,  I've been of course searching for whatever happened to my dear ol' cousin, Anastasia, daughter to the Tzar Nicholas.   And some people swore they saw her there.   So, I went.   And know what?  The moment I saw these golden girls of theirs,  I immediately forgot who I was looking for.

  7. Well, that liitle country in Asia called as Philippines is the land of my birth, my ancestros and a haven for me. This is where I was born and bred. I know all about it first hand because I am a Filipino.
