Ive had that...didnt care for it. Ive studied abroad in Mexico (Oaxaca) and been to Mexico many many times, and I dont care for many of their candies

Most of the candy kids eat here are just like the one you described and it is made by Vero, a candy manufacturer. The tamarind chili candies are also very popular, to the point that plain candy is becoming hard to find. Chili candies come in all sizes and shapes, and flavors as well. The real killer is the chamoy, which is a highly acid mix of chili and apricot, but I've tasted caramel coated apples, and I've tasted chamoy covered apples. Both taste great.

I love it. Mine favorite was shaped and tasted like a mango and stuck on a lollipop. Yumm
