What do you think of the mushroom haircut so popular in Korea right now?

Kevo - I was out having lunch with some Korean friends today and every time someone walked past with one (or usually groups of people) they burst out laughing. I have to say I think they are quite cool. x

I HATE IT. I DETEST IT. It is so repulsive. I hate all these women AND MEN with this disgusting haircut. I've always though that all these men in Korean entertainment need a good haircut, or shave their hair. They are way too girly for men.

I think it's cute. I also think it got popular kind of due to 서인영 Seo In-young from the girl band 쥬얼리 (Jewelry) who has that hairstyle. They became more popular with the song 'One More Time.' Seo has also said on tv (like KBS Star Golden Bell) that when people with the same hairstyle as her scream out her name, she can feel how much popularity she and the band has gained. Her hair stylist, who was shown through tv, has the same hairstyle too.

김동현 Gim Dong-hyun, the son of comedian 김구라 Gim Gu-ra, has the cute hairstyle as well.

I know it's called 버섯머리 (buh-sut-muh-ri aka mushroom hair,) but I think it's also called 바가지머리 (ba-ga-ji-muh-ri) sometimes.

Mushroom haircut is from America... Corean pop stars are byung sin. don't watch corean pop culture because It's from trash American culture. It's bad -_-;  mushroom hair is 80s hair style for children, I once had that mushroom haircut when I was 4-8 years old. It's cute for children...though

i dont know about mushroom hair (ive seen females having.) but im doing bang hair soon. similar to mushroom hair in a way. the front straight etc. Mushroom or bang hair i believe could have both negative and positive effect. it could look good on you (very cute hair really) but it could also look very 'old fashioned'. the face/head shape is very important when doing hairstyle. so yeah, i think both hair is very cute and unique in a sense =D

That's very popular in Korea now. That's all because one of Korea pretty singer. she have had that hair since last year. I guess.

I don't really like that hair. It's just ok to me. but this is the first time I heard that someone called it mushroom hair. I never heard that before. that's a cute word.
