We have not found out if we are having a boy or girl, we have picked out a boys name, but not a girls. We have discussed using our middle names (Ann and Dee) and naming a girl Andee. My husband is a little worried that she will not like having a "boys" name when she gets older. Anyone out there that has a boys name and have an opinion? We also haven't been able to come up w/ a middle name for Andee, any suggestions?

  1. I love it!  I know a little girl named Andie Jewel and she is adorable!

  2. A girl named Andee is cute but I think it's better as a nickname from Andrea. A middle name I like with that is Jane (something one syllable). She can also go by AJ

  3. Why not name her Andrea and use Andee as a nickname?  That's what my parents wanted to do with my sister, but she ended up just going by Andrea.

  4. thats a cute name. you could name her andrea and call her andee if youre worried that she wouldnt like having a boys name but i know a lot of girls with the name Andee so i think its one of those names that it doesnt matter wheather its a girl or a boy. for a middle name you could do andee grace, andee lynn, andee morgen, andee mackenzie but i would use a girlier name for a middle name because i know a girl whose name is randal and her mom puts her first and middle name on papers so everyone knows shes a girl when they read her name

  5. it's a really cute and quiky name - I like it!

  6. i like it cuz it's part of u and ur husband.  good idea!!!!!!

  7. I think that "Andee" sounds like another one of those irritating alternate spellings (Brittany, not Britney!). If it was a girl I would go with Andrea and nickname her Andee, because different spelling is a little more acceptable in nicknames. For a boy, you can go with Andee if you like, but it does look feminised -- like Daniel/Danielle. Andy is more masculine.

As for a middle name, ann-dee sounds like "and E", so maybe you could use an E middle name! There are lots of E names out there that make dandy middle names, like Edward or Elizabeth. Just a suggestion, though...

  8. I think it works.  Give her a very feminine but short middle name.  Andee Sue.  Andee Lynn.  Andee Beth.  Andee Kay.  Andee Paige.  That way she can go by both names at once if she feels Andee is too masculine.

  9. I love the name Andee and just think of it this way if she don't like her name she could always shorten it to Dee or Ann. What about the middle name of Kay. I think Andee is a boys or girls name because there is a girl at my school and she is beautiful and her name suits her so well.

  10. I have a unisex name and I love it. I like the fact that when people read my resume they don't know what s*x I am and therefore cannot use it against me. I know it's illegal to do anyway but it still happens. I think Andee sounds kind of like a nickname and not a first name. The spelling is cute though.

  11. That is very cute ! please call her Andee! It's not like the boys name because it is spelt differently.

For a middle name----Deann? its the other way around lol

  12. hate it
