What do you think of the name Declan?

for a boy. his name would be Declan Lucas Cullen. He also has(is going to have) a twin sister. We've decided her name will be Kylee Shaun Cullen. We want the names to go nicely together. What do you think?

Personally I don't like it, it just looks and sounds wrong, can't quite put my finger on it.

I think you'd be better going for:

Lucas Declan Cullen and Kylee Shaun Cullen (even though Shaun is a boys name)

I like both of them but am unsure about Shaun as a middle name for Kylee.

What about Delan Shaun Cullen and Kylee Lucy Cullen or Kylee Lucia Cullen??

I think that the names are really cute together. They sound very irish, well at least the first names.

Anyways, I really think that you did a great job naming the twins! It is really cute!

I don't like either. Declan will always be pronounced wrong and makes me think of the KKK. Kylee is so overplayed.

I've always loved the name Declan and wish I could name my own son that... but it doesn't "go" as well with a Latin last name. :) As for your suggestion, I think that Declan Cullen is just a bit off-- both names have a hard "C" sound followed by the "lun" ending... they just sound too similar/repetetive. I agree with an earlier suggestion of Lucas Declan Cullen; Lucas Cullen flows better as the name he'll use when introducing himself, but you still get to keep Declan in there.

PS--Even "Kylee Cullen" has a very repetetive sound to it; you might want a name that flows more smoothly, because it sounds kind of sharp with those hard "K" sounds at the start. And if you do keep Declan as the first boy-name, you might want a more Irish sounding girl's name to match his style... just a suggestion! Good luck and have fun!

Ahh!!...when you wrote how to pronounce, i  love it!!!!~...i like it Deck-lin, but not said Dee-clan....like i thought it would be said!!~...i think it's a cool name...Daklan might be closer to the way ppl will say it....but i love his full name....but maybe not the spelling Declan....i don't love the clan part!!~....you're girls name is awesome!!
