What do you think of the name Eamon? I was just watching the relay team win bronze when I thought, I wonder how many people like the name Eamon. (Because of new comer Eamon Sullivan.)

Just in case you were wondering its pronounced Ay-Mon

  6. I love Eamon- it's an Irish name traditionally, but it's so easy to pronounce and spell, plus it's incredibly uncommon (always a good thing)! I've liked it for a long time and I'm glad someone else sees how cool it is :)

  11. I dont really like it but I think accent has alot to do with it. In my accent it doesnt sounds too good but said in another accent it might be nice. I reckon the Olympics will influence baby names for sure - successful names for successful babies that kind of thing :)

  15. Even though it is pronounced Ay-Mon, it still reminds me of demon. Or like a Jamaican saying "hey man!" or also Poke-mon.  I'm sorry, my opinion though.

  24. I love Eamon!  It's my favorite boy's name right now.  It's an old Irish name and very unique.  It has never hit the top 1000 in the last 120+ years.  It's a very classy name too.  It means "rich/blessed protector".

    I'm actually thinking of naming one of my kids Eamon if I have a boy.

  26. It's a great Irish name. It is pronounced more like aim-an than Ay-Mon. Like the name Damon only without the D or the Cayman Islands without a C. You may be saying it the correct way. I am not sure if other readers are saying it correctly when they read Ay-Mon.

    He was a handsome devil and nice and talented.
