  1. I think its really, really nice. My friend is called this and she gets called Emmie however I like Emily alot better.


  2. I love that name, however there's something a little strange about naming kids after the parents. I KNOW that you guys in US have GEORGE BLOGGS IV and all that, but it's strange!

    This is an individual, not a mini-me!

  3. It's really pretty, but really common too. However, instead of naming her directly after you, how about you use it as a middle name? It is more common for boys to be named after their father's than girls - from what I've heard - but if you want to name your little girl Emily, after you, then that's fine.

  7. I LOVE the name Emily. It is quite common but it is really cute :)

    It's a little weird that you can't find another girls name that you like and that you aren't sick of the name yet.

  10. Emily sounds sweet,soft and gentle.. It will be perfect for girl! The only problem is it's common but i don't care a thing if my name is the same as others. It's a bit weird but it's ok..how about considering it as the middle or second name(___ emily)?

    I think it can get a little confusing to have two people in the same family with the same name, but if you really love the name then I don't see why not. Maybe consider it as a middle name?
