  1. I DONT LIKE THAT NAME. MY EX'S NEICE NAMED HER SON THAT AND SHE WAS A SNOTTY B****. HOW ABOUT DONOVAN? IS THIS FOR A GIRL OR A BOY? i THINK THAT'S A BOY'S NAME. I WOULD'NT GO WITH THE ARLEY EITHER. ARE YOU EXPECTING?

  2. Honestly, it's a bad name.....and I agree with the jail thing. There really isn't any original spelling either because it's a recently made up name. Very trendy too, I'd stay away.

    Sorry

  3. i like Jailynn Michelle its cute

    cute names and good choices

    i like Jayleigh as well

  4. Jailynn Michelle is more flowing than Jailynn Arley.. I think michelle makes it sound more timeless as well rather than trendy...

As for the spelling.... Dont let anyone deter you when you are spelling your childs name.. My daughters name is Kalei.. Pronounced Kaylee.. People always have comments about everything.. SO what if it has jail in it.. go for whatever you want..

    good luck...

  5. Can't get with the name Jailynn.

  6. When I see it all I see is the word JAIL. It pops right out at me and I am sure you do not want your little girl to have that sort of connotation connected to her for the rest of her life. Good luck!

    Jaylynn is nice!

  7. i like jailynn michell but i really think it should be spelt jaylen because the only thing that stands out when i see it is jail

  8. I love the name Arley! I don't really like the name Michelle though. Jailynn Arley is very cute.

  11. Jailynn is awesome. I have never seen it spelt that way, but I think it is a great way to spell it.  I like Michelle better than Arley, and I think that Jailynn Elyse, or Jailynn Mia would be cute too!

  12. If the spelling of Jailynn doesn't have significant meaning to you, other than being an alternate of Jaylynn then I would change the spelling to Jaelyn. I think it's prettier. But that's just my opinion.

I would choose Jaelynn/Jailynn Michelle. I think Arley with Jailynn/Jaelynn is too much because they are both strong names, you know? Michelle is softer so I think it works better.

I'm trying to convince my boyfriend of the middle name Jonilynn. I can't use Jaelyn because we already know a Jaylen and I didn't want to "steal" a name, lol. Actually have you considered the spelling Jaylen? That's pretty as well.

And I don't think of Jail when I see Jailynn, I just think the i doesn't flow as well as the other spellings. ;)

  13. If you want an honest answer, rather than straight flattery:

The name Jailynn sounds like slang to be (see: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.ph... ), and that spelling makes it all too obvious. The name simply looks like a compound of 'Jail', as in prison, and 'Lynn', as in the archetype 'filler' middle name. It's not very aesthetically pleasing in print, and has negative connotations; i.e. It makes me think of prison. This is changed if you use the spelling Jaylyn, Jaylynn, Jaylen, Jaelyn, Jaelynn, Jaylan or Jaylin. The alternatives are much cuter spellings and it look nicer in print. It looks more like a creative take on the name 'Jay', rather than 'Jail'... and it's pronounced the same!

I prefer the name Jaylin Michelle to Jaylin Arley. Jaylyn Michelle is more of a pretty, contemporary classic name. It flows better when you say it out loud. With the name Jailynn Arley, the n at the end of Jailynn seems to run into the beginning of Arley, making the name sound like Narley. Using the very cool middle name Marley could remedy this. Jaylin Marley sounds really nice.

EDIT: You asked for what we thought of the names. You shouldn't belittle peoples opinions because they don't match your own. And as for comparing Allie to Jailynn... the 'lie' at the end of names is traditional and very French. On the other hand  the 'Jail' in Jailynn is of modern English origin, and is a creative spelling. They're completely different.

  14. The spelling bothers me because it starts off Jail

    Jaylin

    Jaelyn

    Jaelin

    Jaylynne

    Jaelynne

    Jaylan

  15. Out of the two choices.... Jailynn Michelle.

Jailynn Arley is to trendy for my tastes
