What do you think of the name Jareth?

I'm writing a fanfic about Buffy. It's about the next generation of Scoobies (it's also a crossover of Stargate). Sunnydale has been sucked into a h**l dimension. Set at the end of season 3. My main character is Karris Giles, the 23 year old daughter of Buffy & Giles. She has a 6 year old son named Jareth, he has blonde hair, green eyes and is a sweetie.

What do you think of his name or should i change it?

Also Karris' first name is actually Alexandria but Xander has a son called Alex who is Karris' friend, hence the nickname.

What do you think of his mother's nickname?

The name reminds me of Labyrinth, as well. Personally, I wouldn't choose something so reminiscent of a wonderful fantasy classic. Unless that was your plan, of course.

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is David Bowie's character from Labyrinth.

Jareth's a good name, fits the kid perfectly. A crossover Stargate and Buffy(??) fanfic? Wow! His mom's nickname is good too. Good luck with your writing!              :)

I'm a little disturbed at the notion of Buffy and Giles procreating, but you did say it was set in a h**l dimension :-)

Jareth is an OK name for a fictional character- it sounds like the type of pretentious name a 17 year old would saddle a kid with.
