What do you think of the name Kadie?

I love the name Katie, but I am one that I like to change things up. My boyfriend prefers Katy or Katie, but Kadie to me is unique without going out of my way to make it different. We're also trying to decide on middle names. He likes Katy Leighann and I really love Kadie Lauren. Help!

  1. I love Kadie, it's really nice. I'm a fan of Katelyn myself. But Kadie is a nice change. Kadie Brooke, Kadie Lillian, Kadie Rose, Kadie Mashayla

  2. my friends daughter is called kadie, i think its a beautiful name. my daughter is called katie, i wanted something unmistakably girly for my 2, so they are called katie jade and amy lauren.

  3. Katharine/Katherine is much more classic than "Kadie/Katy"  Honestly, Katie is so over used and has been done way too many times- but if you really love it, at least give your child the chance to go by Katherine or Kate etc later in life.  You don't hear of too many successful people named Kadie........ Also, you don't want your child to constantly have to explain why she spells her name in such a bizarre and non traditional way do you?

I like Katherine Lauren the best, which could then of course, be shortened to Katie.

  4. I like Kadie, but what about Kaydee?

  5. How about the spelling Kady? I think it would be something you and your boyfriend would both like. And for middle names I'd pick something more common than the middle names you picked.

    Kady Olivia

    Kady Madison

    Kady Alyssa

  6. Since you love Kadie and he likes Katy, compromise and spell it Katie or Kady. Same thing for the middle name you love Lauren and he like Leighann, compromise and use Laurann or Loranne. Hope this helps! =)

    Katie Loranne

    or

    Kady Laurann

  7. I like Kadie, my daughter is Caeti for short (Caetlana). I like Leighann better for the middle though.

    Kadie Leighann

  8. I used Cady. I like the variation on "Katie" too! It worked really, really well. I named her after Elizabeth Cady Stanton, of the pioneers of female suffrage!

  9. i think Kadie is nice. i like the D, its like a softned T, so it flows better

    i like Kadie Lauren alot!

    nice name

  10. Both names are totally adorable.  I like it spelled better with the D - it's cute and different.  It would make your baby girl very unique.

  11. I think you should spell it katie. People will always spell it wrong and it gets really annoying for the child to always have to spell the name for people. Just name her katie and make a unique middle name because she won't have to use it everyday! It'll make life so much more simple.

  12. I like that name. Cady and Cadie are also cute.

  13. Kadie makes it look like you were really drugged at the time you filled out the birth certificate.

  14. Kadie should only be used as a nickname. It's really cute, but choose a longer formal name for the legal name.

What about Kadence, Kassandra, Kadelle, Kadessa? Something longer is very appropriate.

    Kadence Lauren

    Kadence Leighann

    Kassandra Lauren

    Kassandra Leighann

All of these are very pretty and you can still call her Kadie!

  15. Spell it Katie.  Weird spellings, just for the sake of being 'different' do your child no favors.

  16. I love the name Katie, and I love the way that you spelt it! Katie is fairly popular (but not too popular), and I think it is very creative to spell it in a non-common way. Good thinking!

As far as middle names go:

    Meghan

    Elizabeth

    Lauren (love it)

    Simone

    Brooke

    Addison

    Peyton

    Maddison

    Olivia

    Logan

    Riley

    Audrey

    Renee

    Hope I helped! :-)

  17. Kadie Lauren is pretty! I also like that soelling more than Katie/Katy.
