I think you should only name a child after a country if it has some significance to the parents. Do they have family there? Was the child conceived there?  Ect.

it sounds very hood. Almost a cross between some afro centric person and some chick i would see walking the streets of the chi. You can do better. Although, Marielle (a come up from Mary probably) sounds nice, keep it as a middle name.
