What do you think of the name Maeva?

It's pronounced like Ava but with an M at the beginning.

It's of French origin and means "goddess of song". it's pretty popular in france.

I dont know why people think it would be hard to pronounce.

Just follow english rules.

You see the word Mae...you pronounce it as "May"

You see the word Va...you prounounce it as "Vah"

Put it together and you have Maeva "May-vah"

i really like it, but you should think about the constant mispronunciation of it, i grew up with a very difficult name to pronounce and to this day i still have a problem with it...i wish my mom would have named me something unique yet easy to pronounce.

I think it beautiful, because it means goddess of song, and that's what God had planned for this child that will wear this name,  because its the praise in song that will make the blessings complete, for the child and the parents! What would her middle name be? Grace maybe? Faith? Congratulations! To you from me(granny 5)

I prefer the Gaelic name, Maeve (MAYV).

Maéva (MAH ay vah) is Pacific Islander and means welcome.
