I'm trying to think of a first name to go in front of "David Beaumont". I'm thinking Michael but would love to hear some suggestions! I also like the name Knox; tell me what you think!

  1. I don't think much of people using the genealogy forum for baby names.  We research dead ancestors.

As for the name Knox, it is highly unusual, and is the name Angelina Jolie just named her new baby boy (she had twins, the other twin is a girl).  So, I would say you are being a copy cat with that one.

  2. Dear James and Cat,

Micheal David is a shining example of a good sturdy namesake. Here are some other examples I was bouncing off my head...

    Johnathan David Beaumont or

    Nathan David Beaumont (shortened version)

    William David Beaumont

    Robert David Beaumont

    Richard David Beaumont

And believe it or not, I have a mutual friend in Blues Music whose name is David Madison Beaumont that plays guitar and he legally changed his name to King David Beaumont! Most of your biblical first names couple well with each other but you have to watch for uneven sound resonance. It should roll off the tongue if middle names are used primarily in identification purposes. As long as it isn't Mogan... Mogen David because that is what is known in the inexpensive wine category as 'Mad Dog 20/20'! I don't know why they put the 20/20 numbers at the end, because after I drank it, I could never see straight afterwards...
