What do you think of the name Paris for a girl?

My husband is insisting that if we have a girl, that we name her Paris. We were engaged there but I'm not all that crazy about the name. Plus our last name begins with P so the initials would be PP. I'm not sure that would work out so well on the playground. Is it really as bad as I think?

I think that unless you've lived there for an extended amount of time or were engaged there or something then it's pretty stupid. It's a city in France for goodness sake.

not really Paris, is a very pretty name, how about Jo for her middle name, and she could by PJ? or Desiree, Jean,Star, Hope, Tulsa?

and PP isnt going to be fun for school.

Besides that its a beautiful name,

just miss.hilton had to ruin it for the rest of us.

Paris is a beautiful name. It was used long before Paris Hilton came on the scene. It also happens to be one of the most romantic cities in the world. It's a great name. I don't think she would be bullied at all. Give her a pretty middle name that YOU like - this way you get to choose a name also. I think something like Paris Emmanuelle would be lovely. It sounds very classy. :-)

well everyone is going to call her paris hilton or pee pee because of her initials. i say use paris as the middle name and choose a dif. 1st name.

As terrible as this sounds I kind of feel like the name Paris has been used way to much in the media and would not want to give my child that name. Maybe as a middle name?
