What do you think of the name Shannon for a girl?

Is the spelling Shannon ok, or would Shannan or Shannen or something look better? I personally like Shannon, but I wouldn't want her name to be mistaken for a guy. Also middle name suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks :o)

I feel you should balance this first name out with a really girly middle name:

Shannon Isobel

Shannon Bella

Shannon Rose (a very common middle name though)

Shannon Chloe

Shannon Claire

I would go with Shannnon, that is the classic spelling for that name.  To me it has always been a girl's name.

My favorite way to spell the name is the way you spelled it first, "Shannon". I'd suggest these as middle names:

Daisy

Dallas

Dakota

Danielle

Daniella

Darcy

or, Anica (on - ick - uh)

because they compliment the 'S' and 'N' and the beginning/end of the name.

I like Shannon but shannan is also nice.

Middle name......maybe something like Danielle or Kristelle. I personally like Shannon Kristellle. I think its pretty and feminine but i suppose it depends on her last name too.

Go with Shannon.  It's pretty much a girl-only name nowadays.  Be sure to give her a nice feminine middle name, just in case anyone is curious before they see her face.  Good luck!

Well shannon is an irish name so maybe go with something irish as the second name like Aoife (pronounced E FA) Siofra (she Fra), Roisin (roe Sheen), Aine ( awe nee a) or Cailin ( colleen). Just an idea as I'm irish and it's a dying language so it's nice to keep it in use...
