  1. Never seen this name before

But it looks masculine to me

  2. i don't know how to say it therefore I don't like it

  3. I've never heard of Tyeis, spelled that way.

Thijs or Ties, both pronounced like "Tice" (rhyming with mice or dice), are short forms of Matthijs (the Dutch form of Matthias).  I really like the sound of Thijs for a boy, though it would be an awfully difficult one for teachers to figure out how to pronounce on the first day of school!

Thais is an Ancient Greek feminine name.  It's pronounced as two syllables:  TAH-ees.  Apparently Thais was a saint (according to www.appellationmountain.net) and a companion to Alexander the Great (according to www.behindthename.com).  I like it quite a lot for a girl, but again, it's a hard one to pronounce upon a first reading.  It is a bit easier to handle than the masculine Thijs, I think.

  4. Looks like an incorrect spelling of the word "Ties" - I don't know how to pronounce it, and I don't know which gender it would be for.
