What do you think of the name Wilde Pixie for a girl?

I think it is so cute. Wilde is spelt like Oscar Wilde, but still pronounced like wild. And I was thinking of Poesy, but then I decided Pixie was much cuter and stylish. I know a really cool teenage girl called Pixie, so I know it's not too babyish and it still works well when you get older, but she could always just go by plain Wilde when she is older if she doesn't like it.

So, what do you think of the name Wilde Pixie?

It is hideous. Do not subject your child to this. Consider Jr. High with a name like "Wilde".

Although it sounds kinda cute together, I'm a teacher and can't picture calling on Wilde.  I've seen odder and far worse names though...  I've taught a Sweety and a Pretty and this year I will have Twinkle as a student!

I think it is a bit over the top.  My kids names are Zephyr Day and Rory Aidan, so I am not a plain jane kid namer.... or whatever you would call it....  It's just to much like Frank Zappa's kid, Moon Unit.  But I am guessing there isn't all of the money involved....

It is way too over the top. It is cute to think about a pink little baby named Wild Pixie, like a little fairy, but think of a 40 year old doctor or accountant name Ms. Wild Pixie......Not very practical.

It's better than "Moon Unit" but about as bad as "Apple." Sorry, I'd never do that to a kid. If you do, start saving for the kid's therapy bills.

Dont be stupid. U want your child to be succesful right? everyone does. I dont think a succesful woman would want to be named "wilde pixie" that sounds like candy, or a name that would be in a fairy tale play. Please do ur child a favor, and dont ruin her life

Wilde isn't bad... Pixie just sounds cruel and mean. Are you trying to torture her or make her feel special? She won't want to be made fun of. Trust me. No matter how preppy or girly she is, that will just make her hate her name and want to change it. Give her something creative but not something she'll be made fun of when she gets older.

sounds like the name for a movie or for an oldies type band... but not for a child..

I mean all moms want an uncommon name for their children but not too over the top names that they will only get picked on!!

Look for a name with personality, not with showgirl tone!
