It's an okay name, but it's outdated IMO. The name reminds me of a girl born in the 80s or early 90s; giving it to a girl in the late 00s seems wrong.

I have always thought of a really stuck-up person. Like a cheerleader who thinks she is better than everyone else. I've never really liked the name, sorry.

This is a popular name. I don't like it because half of my family has used it. I think a name should be original.. like angelique. Not everyone has that name and its beautiful!

Well because Ive had bad issues with girls named Amber.

I hate that name. Its more over-used than my name!! lol..

thats to bad that most people have stereotyped Amber as S****y and trashy. My name is Amber and im nothing like that. Yes i was born in the 80's my parents named me that cuz im black and white, cuz of my honey skin tone. the meaning of Amber is precious jewel and i thinks thats a beautiful name and meaning for a child.

i used to like it but not now every amber i have met is trashy and low class sorry not trying to offend anyone ,that is just my experience.i am sure there are some  really decent ones too,i just havent met any!

Beautiful name.  I think of a petite, delicate, girly-girl that can adapt to any situation.  That's the first thing that comes to mind.

Stripper / S****y / white trash.

It was once a common name for upper-class white babies (much like "Madison" nowadays) but once it ran its course there, the low class whites started naming their kids "Amber," and so forth.

its a nice name, but there are ALOT of people named amber. why not try using it as a middle name or change it up a bit, like Amberly. i think thats really pretty.
