  1. a lot of people will end up making fun of her :0

but hey, whatever floats your boat

  2. If you like it then go with it.

  3. i would have to say... no... bad idea

  4. I really like it, it dont think its too unusual at all, it sounds similar to sian (pronounced Sharn) and I always think that if a new original name you come up with sounds like a more common name that people have heard lots and lots then its a good indicator that the new name will be accepted as "normal" and not completely wacky.

Plus Oceana is actually a normal greek name so by association Ocean isnt completey "out there" http://www.babynamescountry.com/meanings...

  5. I think people are so desperate to have an original name for their child that they end up naming their poor baby something stupid. Look at the celebrities. They are desperate for their child to have their own individual name that they end up naming their children something stupid. Well don't worry if you're going for originality you've got it I don't think anyone else would use that name lol. I don't mean any offense by my comment that's just a pet peeve of mine. You are going to have a beautiful baby why not give it a beautiful name?

  6. true ya have a point with the name brook there but  later in life the name mightnt suit her. what bout if u spelt it different n have it as a middle name?

  7. IT SUCKS!!!(No offense but I have a strong opinion) I like Breezie though.

  8. I like Oceana.

  9. STUPID

  10. I have to say "no". I don't like it.  I just had a daughter and I swore that is I had a girl I was going to name her Meadow but when it came down to it I just couldn't do that to her. Strange names only work out for the really famous or really rich. Their kids grow up with so much money it makes up for their horrible name.

  11. I'm not an adult, and I have every right to answer. It's incredibly rude of you to assume that everyone under 18 isn't mature enough to answer, or their answers don't matter. The fact that you wrote that proves just how naive you are, and that you obviously have experienced a limited group of kids/teenagers in your past.

"If your under thirteen don't answer." would be more appropriate, seeing as how it would follow the Y!A rules.

    To answer you question:

I love the name Ocean. I think it's beautiful. But you should give her a more common (not Ashley or Brittany, etc.) name to go by in Junior High and high school, because teenagers tend to be embarrassed easily.

    Maybe:

    Ocean Kate

    Ocean Louise

    Ocean Alanna

    Ocean Elizabeth

  12. I am not nuts about it, but I do like the idea of Oceana (sp?) or Oceanna, Ocianna, (you would have to play with it a bit to find a good spelling). And it would sound good in Japanese too.

  13. Ocean Water.

Please don't they will get teased.

  14. if you want a beautiful name which can also be spelled by your relative, you can go for MaeLee. it's american but with an asiatic  sound.  i love the name, better than ocean (i'm sorry)

  15. No offence but that name SUCKS!

  16. No think of the things people could say to her! I'd say no.

  17. its kind of weird. but i have met a girl named ocean so other people have kids named ocean so your not alone
