What do you think of the name...?

Question

Leighton for a little girl? Most baby name websites list it as a boy's name, but I think it sounds androgynous, if not feminine. It is pronounced LAY-ton.

I think it sounds feminine considering it has Leigh in it. I actually like it for a girl.

I really like it for a girl. I know a lot of people say "oh, it's a boys name don't name your daughter that!" but I honestly think it's a unisex name. If you're unsure about Leighton, you could always use Leigh. Still very pretty in my opinion :)

It's a cute name but I happen to know a male by that name.

The danger is giving a name usually associated to males to a daughter is that she'll grow up with people constantly being confused when they initially see her name and then later meet her.   A sad thing to do to a child

I think it's cute.  The star of Gossip Girl (Blair) her real name is Leighton Meester.  That's the only time I've ever heard it used, so I thought that it was primarily a girl's name.

Sounds more masculine to me.  I guess it can be used as either, I'm not fond of the name but I would prefer it on a boy.

Ive never heard of the name but its pretty! Just by the look and pronunciaton I would assume it was feminine. I like it!
