What do you think of the names Adlai and Rose for twins?

Very interesting!  I'm assuming Adlai is for a boy, since it's a biblical masculine name.

I like both Adlai and Rose, and I like the fact that the names don't match.  The only thing I find a little odd, I suppose, is that you're being much more daring with the boys' name than the girls' name.  Usually people are the other way around -- they'll name their daughter Iolanthe but their son Christopher.

Rose isn't common at all as a first name, but it's definitely familiar.  It ranked #351 last year.  It's very widely used as a middle name, however, so it seems like a fairly safe choice.  Adlai, however, has not been in the U.S. top 1000 since 1893.

If you love both names, then by all means, go ahead and use them.  If you are looking for names that complement each other a bit better, you might consider something like:

Rose and Ezra

Rose and Judah

Rose and Gideon

Rose and Jacoby

I like Rose, I like that they don't match or sound alike....I don't know what Adlai sounds like, don't really like the way it looks.
