  1. a necessary evil...stuff costs stuff...and costs of stuff inevitably goes up

  2. I agree, it's getting that it's not worth bothering with, I never made a lot on E Bay, but with the fees going up, I don't think I'll bother again!

  3. Oh, you're in the UK. I know the fees here in America went up a short while ago. It's getting ridiculous. The fees are getting so high that unless you can sell something for at least 30-40.00 it's almost not even worth it. And the Paypal fees have become outrageous! It used to be about .25 to receive a 10.00 payment, now it will cost you over 1.00. I recently got a payment from somebody for about 200.00 and they charged me almost 12.00 to receive it. Paypal has gotten way too greedy.

  4. i don't like it as it like how it was befor hand

  5. I know.

I closed my e bay shop a few weeks ago, it wasn't worth the time and effort involved.

  6. and the site that you're flogging and spamming all over here has no traffic.

    That's not a deal.

  7. I think it sucks @ss!..I knew they were gonna go up because everything else is going up in price, but d**n come on eBay!

  8. Fees are ridiculously high and now going to be even higher.  However these changes look like they actually benefit me.  But that is only because the category that I sell in is the only category that got a rate drop.  I was hoping to diversify but guess I can't now.  It looks like eBay wants to be the next Best Buy considering their fees.

  9. Switch to AMAZON ..zero listing fees and you set the price you want.

    Disadvantages -

    1) the postage is fixed - you can't set your own levels so have to include any 'excess' cost into the price for the goods - this catches some people out.

    2) They take quite a high 'completion' fee (but at least this is the ONLY charge .. unlike eBay where they chip away and chip away until all your profits are gone)

    3) Amazon act as Escrow agent .. you have to wait 2 weeks for your money = but at least it goes direct to your Bank Account without any additional charges (instead of being 'held' in PayPal ..)
