I think it's fantastic and lovely that a child is going to be born into the world, who is going to be so loved that in order to have her, her parents risked riducule and harrassment from the outside world.

  1. What about the poor child, it will be ridiuculed and made fun of for the rest of it's life..  mostly by me...

  2. its abit freakey ,but best of luck to them they are gonna make some major money out of this , lets hope they do not appear in the ok mag

  3. I don't think it's a big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. He may be classified by our legal standards as a man, but, biologically he is not a real man.

  4. nothing.. just a person...

  5. What is society coming to? I despair.

  6. It's not a man. It's a woman that has had hormones and some good lawyers! I bet if you did a genetic test on her you'd find that she still had female chromosomes!

  7. There is no pregnant man.

This is a woman's body doing what 100000's of woman do every day and have done since the beginning of time.

  8. They chose to go on Oprah and publicise their case.  They could have kept their right to privacy in the situation.  There was no good reason for others to know - he could get away with covering up.

They want to make money and get publicity the kid is incidental to all this and the man is not a proper man he used to be female and you cannot change your insides.

  9. weird wonderful new life to be born, what ever will be will be.

  10. Since he's not truly a transgender, he's no different than any other female having a baby. Many women have had breast reductions and cross dress.

  11. well........I think he/she needs to decide whether he is male or female - not both

  12. I don't think i have a right to comment as it's none of my business

  13. Hmmm.

-- Do you also think it is fantastic for a pedophile to love a child so much that he/she is willing to risk going to jail?

-- Do you also imagine that it is so romantic and "lovely" that a rapist risks all to have "the woman of his dreams" & even if she's married already?

-- What about how romantic that a child might be born into the world by that rapist's deep love of women?  Is that how you feel, too?  Is that the way America is wooed? -- By unreasoned feelings?

-----Wise up, America, this is a crime upon that unborn child and a crime against nature itself.   Even mere wild animals have the custom of doing with their bodies what nature designed them for use like.  Can you imagine a bull crushing  itself on a boulder to become a cow?  Don't roosters run after hens, stallions chase mares and rams find ewes?  But America : are we becoming so witless that we are stupider than sheep?   Can we not understand that this kind of perversity is destructive to us and to the children of this nation?

---  See all the shootings in public places in recent years?

Oh, but years ago, some nutjobs decided to let extremes kick into action.   Either kids got beat too much or there was little discipline at all, both extremes lacking true love and committment.   Now, America suffers for that folly.   If perversion is applauded and legitimized, it will prove trouble for us all, not just the ones who carry it out to the Nth degree.

  14. He was and is a woman so it is false that a man is pg

  15. weired

Like you say, poor kid when it gets to school age.  Its going to be h**l for the poor thing.

Thats just the way people are, they will bully that kid.

  16. What a mess, poor little baby.

  17. You're certainly entitled to your opinion but I could not disagree with you more.

If this person was born female but is so certain she was meant to be a man, and has taken the drastic steps to BE one, WHY would she get pregnant? It is the ultimate in self-absorption.

  18. think he/she is looking to make big money when the time comes, he/she will sell the story

  19. Of course, if one wanted to be pedantic about it, one might point out that the bits of the body that are carrying the foetus are those bits that are common to all women. In that respect, since they are obviously the bits left over from a previous time in this person's life, there is not one "remarkable" thing about it.

  20. Well I watched that vid and even though Thomas looks male and probably acts male she is not male.

I do understand the whole trans gender thing so don't hop all over me and I applaud those who are brave enough to do this, although I have questions lol!

Until such time as Thomas has genital correction surgery though she is still female and there is nothing special about a woman being pregnant other than the miracle of that in itself.

Good luck to them both and why did Nancy choose to not do this instead?

  21. Whilst I feel for his plight as a transgendered person, I cannot help feeling that the baby has been forgotten in all of this.

This baby is going to grow in to a child and adult and along the way is going to be subjected to a lot or ridicule and cruel behaviour, a lot more then a child from a more conventional situation.

And what about the environment the child will live in? surely it will be a confusing life for him, is mum dad or is dad mum?

I also can't understand that this man who has obviously battled with is identity for years would then go ahead and keep the female organs that made him the s*x he didn't want to be, it just doesn't make sense to me. The only conclusion I can draw from it is that he always planned to have a baby-regardless of that fact that is wife couldn't, what other purpose could he want female reproductive organs for?

It's happening whether any of us like it or not though, I just hope the child is of a strong disposition, and I hope this couple will be able to prevent their life choices from affecting this child adversely.

  22. I fear for the child with such attention seeking parents.Life will be difficult enough without turning it into a side show.

  23. i always think that it is lamentable when people claim to be supportive of homosexual/transgender people in reference to having children, biologically or otherwise.

This person, I would say, probably has a lot of issues regarding their sexuality, he has had hormone treatment but not a s*x change, which would indicate some king of sexual ambivalence, what about his partners sexuality. All of this confusion is not a good environment for a child to be brought up in, and that is not being homophobic, I am simply saying that society seems to values the individuals rights over that of the potential child.

Harsh, but thats the way i feel about it, I am sure this persona has been through all manners of emotional issues, I cannot comprehend, but is that the best state of mind to think about having kids ?

but hey - it's not my business is it.

  24. I think it is fine. The parent child relationship will have no issues at all. Sadly it will just be societies reaction that causes the hurt and upset. As for the mother being transgender living as a male there is no issue there all families come in wonderus variety. Good luck to them.

  25. Gender has been constructed by society since the beginning of time. Just because it has been classified by society doesn't make it true or real. Its an opinion. You need to ask yourself what makes us think females wear skirts but males can't.Why men are traditionally the head of the household and viewed as strong and in control. Women are capable of doing the same things as men, they just aren't given the same fair chance to prove these things. Or they are simply afraid because of what society might think. This has all been socially constructed. Society is brainwashed. For someone to truly embrace who they are on the inside, and for thomas that is a man, is more courageous an act than most people could handle under the pressures and boxes created by our world.  Thomas isn't confused, if any one actually knows the story, he transitioned gradually over time.  Why can't this human being be who he is and utilize the abilities his body allows him...to create a family because his wife is physically unable?  People are so quick to judge other peoples lives.  We are the ones responsible for accepting difference and NOT making life hard for a child, because, believe me, this child will have more love and normalcy than A LOT of children born in America. I think every one needs to worry about themselves and really think about what is normal.

  26. "I saw the movie "Twins" , it looks like they got the idea from it !

    Mostly unnatural.

I need to add, that if things continue going the way that they are the world is going to be a screwed up place to live in !

  27. It's still a todger dodger
