Question:

What do you think of the "Toilet Paper Wedding Dress" bridal shower game?

This game is played by dividing the guests into teams, giving each team a few rolls of toilet paper, and asking them to to use it to design a "wedding gown." Then, a winning gown is chosen. I am throwing a shower for my friend. Her grandmother, mother, and a few aunts will be there, in addition to the other bridesmaids and young (20-something) friends. Do you think that this game is appropriate? Have you actually ever played it? If so, was it fun? Instead of this game, I am considering giving each guest a few pieces of tissue paper to design a veil. Which game sounds better? Or are they both lame?

  1. The toilet paper dress game is fun. It makes for some GREAT pictures, and I think it is appropriate for all ages. You could even designate each group a specific type of dress, like destination wedding, vegas wedding, traditional wedding, etc.

  2. Wedding dress game is great and the veil would be interesting, but I think more people can be involved in the dress and get to know each other.

  4. we did that at my shower and it was a blast! go for the dress, we had two double rolls for each team and some where fantastically done!  make sure you get plenty of pics!

  5. My sister planned this game at my shower a month ago and it was a huge hit. Great for all ages and everyone went all out creating the dresses and had a blast. Lots of laughing and my sister even said she didn't relaize she would need to have a time limit they were so into it. It was a great ice breaker and allowed people to introduce themselves in a much smaller setting if they did not know each other. They all made their own designs and some even used decorations from the table and favors to add special touches to the dresses. I would say go for this game!

  6. The toilet paper wedding dress is a wonderful idea. It's fun and makes for a lot of laughs!

  7. Wedding dress game: Been there, done that.  Loved it! Folks have to be in groups and they get to talking and getting to know one another.  Fun!

  8. Ugh, I hate that game. For me, the best showers have NO games - just food, pleasant conversation, and presents.
