what are those? if you do not mind explaining..

oh..i think it could be very useful..but i got a bassinet where the top came off and that way if i was in the living room or wherever i could take her..and so on it was also very useful when we went to L.A. to visit my husbands family so i would recommend something like that first but yes i think that could prove to be very useful if that is what you prefer..hope this helps

do you mean like a bassinette?

They are great for newborns because a big cot can be unsettling as they are used to confinement they feel more content in a small bassinette.

I wished I had got one instead of a bassinet. It would be great for when I go stay at my mothers. Instead I have to take this huge bassinet with me because I feel the porticot is too uncomfy for a new born

Make sure it is very sturdy. Consider a co-sleeper instead...if you have a  

Craig's list you can find one there but it should be very clean.

I loved mine.  I used it at home all the time, but the baby carrier was used when we went out.  Unless I went somewhere overnight, then I took it with me.  Plus, if they fall asleep in it, you can just set it by your bed, and you don't have to risk waking them to put them in the crib.
