Question:

What do you think of the "scene kid" trend?

I personally dislike the whole idea of it and the outfits. It just reminds me of the trends from the 80's. People in their 80's look back at their photos now and are embarrassed. I think that kids who do the scene kid look today will feel the same when they're adults.

  1. I personally think that all gothic, scene, and dark looks are over rated. The whole point is to not attract attention, but all you are honestly doing is looking like you filched your whole outfit from a drunk 80's metal rocker. you aren't accentuating your beauty, your figure, or anything. And trust me, some people really cannot wear black. If you want to wear your black potato sack and send a "message" fine, but I just don't get it. It's silly!

  2. i like it!! idk why i jus think its so cute..........ur taking this whole scene thing wayy too seriously. who cares its jus clothes and people like wat they like. dont bash a certain stlye jus cause its not wat u would wear. its not right. were just having fun and thinking outside the box!!

  3. ah-gree! posersss!!!

  4. I appreciate that some people like the 80's style and it's still used today. But scene has gone way too far; even if the style itself has some comparison with the 80's style back then- many kids now a days are doing it without knowing any knowledge of fashion history. It's a stupid "trend" because people follow it and still call themselves unique. All the girls practically look the same; I seriously couldn't tell any girl apart from one another. The boys are the same story. I personally hate and I am so against this trend, it's ridiculous. They all remind me of mindless robots just following each other. But what pisses me off the most is when kids call themselves unique and then say "I'm emo" or "I'm scene". Whatever happened to a proper introduction and not stereotyping yourself?

PS: Why are people saying it's inspired by art and music? If it's truly an inspiration then why don't you go make a painting? or actually gain some musical theory? no, instead you go buy skinny jeans and hair dye at mall stores. Oh yeah, totally inspired by realness.

  5. first of all dont put a question about steriotypes and  talk **** about them

2nd its not eighties it all inspired by music nd the life of art

    so get it straight

the "style" is awsome something youll never get

  6. You know, I hate the fact that these people SWEAR that they are being 100% original and "hardcore". I really don't get this generation, I mean NO ONE wants to be like everyone else. BUT why do people TRY so hard to be different? It makes them look stupid. And I hate the fact that they talk about everyone else and how we are unoriginal because we aren't weird. It really confuses me......Seriously

  7. I hate the hair. Ick.

Then again I hate that whole goth emo look either way.

Chains..black from head to toe..hair covering your whole face..thats not cute.

  8. i like it a lil bit...it is ok, as u said most will probably look back and think, what was i thinking...lol...but as of now, its trendy and why not just go with the flow...i personally like it tho...i like the fact that is a new look combining the 80's and now to make a littl diff look.
