What do you think of the relationship between money and happiness?

well money isn't neccessarily happiness. because you can't buy everything with money, but if you have enough money you really do have "freedom" not the freedom every one is america has you have more freedom because you have money.

money = freedom

freedom = happiness

so money and happiness are thus linked someway.

money gives you more freedom to pursue what makes you truly happy.  its that pursuit, not the money, that makes one happy.

I think that you have to have enough money to take care of the basics like food, clothing, and shelter.  But there comes a point where money gets in the way of happiness if you have too much.

So, as with all things, it's best to live your entire life in balance; in moderation.

Money supposedly can't buy happiness, but I'd sure like to test that theory some day since my happiness would involve paying off my bills.

Some people say that money can't buy happiness, but the lack of it can sure make you unhappy.  In other words, you need a certain amount of money to purchase necessities.  If you don't have that amount, you've got problems.  A little more than that will buy you some extras.  A little more will even buy some luxuries.  But beyond that, it's just seeing how much you can accumulate.
