What do you think of the remarks Kelly Tilghman said about Tiger Woods?

"young golfers should lynch Tiger Woods in a back alley"..i can't believe she had the balls to say "lynch" outloud.....So what do you think...

part of her real personality surfaced in that statement, in my opinion.   I remember this white weather woman who tried to improvise during the news show and the comment she made was a bit towards the racy side, maybe not completely, but enough for the network to fire her.  She was a weekender anyway, so I don't think it was any big loss.

It doesn't seem there was any racist intent to her statements, but man what a poor choice of words.  A professional TV sports analyst has to know better than that.

It was profoundly stupid, given the tragic history and treatment of African Americans in this country.  If it was a white golfer, or an Asian golfer, it would just seem like gross overstatement.  But to say it about  a black golfer?  That's crossing the line.  It doesn't go so far as the Imus incident, but shows an insensitivity and a stupidity that's darn close to that, in my opinion.

The thing is, she was probably just trying to be funny, by making an overstatement that it's going to take extreme measures or anyone to beat tiger.  But at least say something mildly humorous for crying out loud!  "Young golfers should hire some former Soprano cast members to give Tiger a "talking to", if they want to have any chance of winning", something along those lines.  What she said was just absurd.

We'll see if she loses her job for it.

I think that she is racist and finally had the guts to say what was on her mind.  I don't care what anyone says, she is racist because I'll bet she wouldn't have said that about a white golfer.

I think she would have said that word regardless of race.  It was in jest.  People just Love something to get in an uproar about.
