  1. The royals hunt because they like it, and pay no attention to anyone else's opinion.  Some time ago, there was a picture of the Queen breaking a gamebird's neck, which was, of course justified for us.

I have never been able to understand how a civilized human being can gain pleasure from the terror of another living creature, by chasing it on bigger and faster animals, and call it "sport".  (Or even "necessary" from a countryside point of view.)

    I loathe all cruelty.

  2. have you ever strolled in to an abattoir,of course not, other wise you wouldn't be just bleating about the royal families.....You would speak out against humanity in general

And remember you solicited my opinion.

  3. the royals have been bred to hunt.

  4. Throughout history, hunting was a "royalty sport" and hunting was a favorite pastime for people, especially rich people. Queen Elizabeth I of England herself loved to hunt. The hunt allowed the rich nobles to show off their fine horses, hawks, clothing, and weapons. Horses were shown off by their breeding, most commonly by nobles, and ranked by endurance, speed, beauty, and strength. From the hunting rounds the wealthy would often establish a breeding tree of some sort in an attempt to create the perfect breed. In England today, the royal tradition of hunting still remains as a popular sports for the British royal family.

  5. Royal (the hanger-on lot)  many are a dissolute bunch with boredom as their enemy To derive sport from "hunting" is

a mark of retarded development. I fail to see how killing a bunny rabbit adds anything to my sense of achievement .."bounding rotters" the lot

  6. The royals need a reality check............They are nothing more than barbaric parasites.

  7. Cruelty to animals is NOT high-class.

If those stuffy so-called "Royals" want to be remembered as something other than being parasites with silly titles, they would try to make this world a better place, perhaps by sponsoring animal rights, or wildlife rehabilitation or the spay-neuter program.

People who have to hunt to put food on the table for their family are one thing, but people who hunt for "the sport" or because it is "traditional" are an anachronism.

  8. I agree with you that it's cruel and unnecessary, but it's also something that has gone on for various reasons throughout time and has now become very unfashionable. I would go further with banning animal sports, particularly the Grand National which is just vile.

I find it bizarre that you don't want pro-hunters to answer. You just want a load of people to agree with you. Can't you handle reasonable debate?
