What do you think of the six NBA registered names for OK City?

Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Thunder and Wind.

I think outside of Bison, they're absolutely awful. I never understand when a team has the opportunity for a great marketable name, they pick these awful names (Like "Magic," "Nationals," "Rays" to name a few recent ones) when there are so many great names you could choose.

Thunder and/or Wind gives me all kinds of "gas passing" sign ideas I see opposing fans using. Energy could be the absolute worst name in sports, even worse than any WNBA names.

I don't know if they plan on using Oklahoma City or just Oklahoma ahead of the nickname.

Despite that, I think Thunder and Bison are the most acceptable. But even so, they could still do a lot better.

They could have included Stallions, Mustangs, Rustlers, or Renegades. I know the USFL had the Outlaws (which would fit nicely with the bad boy image amongst some players), and even the Wranglers when the team moved to Arizona.

I agree that nicknames are getting worse as time goes on.

None could be as bad as the "Dream."

The Thunder and the Barons are the front runners from what I can tell. I really hope they come up with something better though.

from the 6 i would pick bison.......thunder is ok rumor has it thats what there leaning more towards

energy and wind what where they thinking has to be the worst why even bother trying to patent those names.....can you hear the chants "let's go energy or let's go wind"
